Lina Palmer, responsible for the project, shares her thoughts on SamSari’s CSR initiatives and the collaboration with Projekt 1173.
- There are many reasons; one of the underlying ones being our belief that also a smaller company can make a difference. Even the smallest things can have an impact on the surrounding community, and we can do something that corresponds to our size. At SamSari, we have a diverse team where many individuals are quite value driven and care a lot about their surrounding world, and we want to give them the possibility to canalize this energy in their working life. Not only does it promote competence development in our team, it helps build a strong team of employees who have new ideas, are motivated, and inspired, which at the end of the day improves our performance on a corporate level. Also, it strengthens SamSari’s possibilities of attracting and retaining a talented and diverse workforce.
- When we met Projekt 1173 we felt that we could truly make a difference even if it was on a small scale, using all of the competencies that we have at SamSari. Projekt 1173 is an organization driven by dedicated people who are working hard to improve the life of the younger generation, and finding financing for their important projects is many times a struggle. Our collaboration enabled a group of young people from different parts of Stockholm to meet up and work together, and the organization now has a new media to communicate through.
- Evaluations we’ve done after the project show that it made our team feel proud of SamSari in a new way; it was inspirational and gave new ideas on how to work in a completely new environment and with a new kind of audience. Meaningful, innovative and inspiring are words that were used when describing the project. Our clients, who received the video as a Christmas gift, have also been positive. It bodes well for future CSR initiatives!
